How do I request GTIN exemption from Amazon?

Amazon requires that the products you sell on its marketplace have a GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). However, if you sell products through Grandville Printing, they won't have a GTIN. So you have to request exemption from Amazon.

Note that if you sell under your own brand, Amazon requires you to submit real-life product photos to get your GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) exemption.

If you're setting up with the Grandville Printing + Amazon integration, the final step is submitting your GTIN exemption to Amazon:

Above, you can see that we pre-filled the field under Amazon Brand Name with the name Generic. Unlike using a custom brand name on Amazon, choosing “Generic” is the easiest way to get GTIN exemption. You can also edit this field and use your custom brand name instead. 

When you click Create store, you'll be redirected to this page on Amazon:

Here you'll have to enter some extra info about your brand:

1. Enter the product categories you sell and a link to your website (or downloadable images of your products). Grandville Printing products fall under 7 categories:
   - Cell Phones & Accessories
   - Clothing & Accessories
   - Shoes, Handbags & Accessories
   - Luggage & Travel Accessories / Backpacks
   - Home & Garden
   - Sports
   - Jewelry
2. Upload your product photos.

Once you submit your request, you'll have to wait a few days for Amazon to review it and send you an email approving or denying your request.
