Why is the order recipient data hidden from my order invoices?

In your order view and order invoices, you’ll sometimes see “****” in your customers’ shipping addresses, replacing their personal data. Usually, it’ll be your customer’s full name, address line 1, email, and phone number that’s hidden. Don’t worry, we do this to protect you and your customers’ safety. 

The less information we provide about your customers, especially when it comes to their personal data, the lesser the risk of data being leaked. Therefore, we use data pseudonymization to protect your customers’ personal information. 

Pseudonymization is a form of encryption that replaces parts of personal data with symbols, so-called pseudonyms. As a result, it makes it impossible to identify your customers by the information still visible in your order view and order invoices. 

Currently, we apply data pseudonymization in two different ways:

• Personal data of Amazon order recipients will be hidden 30 days after the order delivery date
• Personal data for all Grandville Printing orders will be hidden 180 days after the order delivery date

If you wish to keep the personal data of your order recipients for longer you should download your order invoices before the end of the 180 days period (or 30 days for Amazon orders).
